Come and see us on Stall 16 at the Town Council’s Christmas Cracker Event in Crowborough High Street on Friday 22nd November between 4 and 6pm. Our volunteers there will be happy to have a chat with you about the work that we do and try to answer any questions you may have.
We are delighted that Councillor Greg Rose, Crowborough Town Mayor, has very kindly chosen Ditch the Slippers to be one of the beneficiaries of his charity fundraising for 2019. This is a fantastic endorsement of the work Ditch the Slippers does for the Crowborough community. Thank you Councillor Rose!
Members and volunteers recently gathered in the Ashdown restaurant at Barnsgate Manor to enjoy a lovely morning of teas, coffees, cake and even cream teas! It was a delightful sunny day with great views of the Sussex countryside and we had a hearty singalong led by Pete and Laurie. Overall, a wonderful outing. Thanks to Michael and his team at Barnsgate Manor for hosting us.
Yoga with Anadil recently organised a free Yoga and Pamper event where Anadil kindly invited people to make donations to Ditch the Slippers as part of her ongoing support for the group. Not only did participants enjoy a complimentary Yoga session but were also treated to cake and a mini Reflexology treatment. Thanks for your support Anadil!
A number of our members and carers recently enjoyed a lovely trip to the Assembly Halls to see a production by The Tunbridge Wells Operatic and Dramatic Society (TWODS) of Legally Blonde The Musical. Everyone had a lovely time and our thanks are due to our supporting volunteers and to TWODS for kindly donating the tickets.
